Charity and community

Local causes and the people behind them: an introduction to Alwarestoch’s charitable work.

Giving with a local connection

Charitable activity is part of Alwarestoch’s lodge life. Members have supported causes serving Gosport and the surrounding area. Our records include presentations and fundraising stories; this page helps you find those reports and learn about the organisations involved.

The news archive carries dated accounts. A past donation or appeal should not be read as a current fundraising target, ongoing partnership or commitment by a charity to endorse the lodge. Ask the Secretary or Charity Steward about present priorities.

The Elizabeth Foundation

The lodge’s archive records support for The Elizabeth Foundation. Its own website explains its work with deaf children and their families. Read our archived account and visit the charity’s official website for current information.

Elson Community Library and Hub

Elson Community Library and Hub is among the local causes shown in our charity records. The lodge’s homepage charity section includes its presentation photograph and organisation link. Check the Hub’s current information before arranging a visit or making a donation.

St Faith’s Hub

Our public charity records also include St Faith’s Hub in the Leesland community. See the lodge’s charity section for the published account and photograph. For present services and ways to help, follow the Hub’s own information.

Stories from the lodge archive

Explore the charity presentation report and the archived Worshipful Master’s charity story. Historic reports are retained with their original context; current amounts, beneficiaries and appeals should be confirmed rather than inferred from older articles.

Ask about current charitable work

For information about current lodge fundraising or a proposed local cause, use the contact page and ask for the Charity Steward. The lodge can explain its current plans and how enquiries are considered. Do not send payment details through a general enquiry.
